The Friends of Mississippi Mills Library were pleased to present a staged reading of Get What You Need. This comedy by Jackie Bennett, was about a church committee that must raise funds for a new roof. They start out with bake sales and end up hiring The Rolling Stones. What could go wrong? |

Making Sure You Don't Skip a Beat
The University of Ottawa Heart Institute was at St. Andrew’s United Church in Pakenham on July 16, 2025, to host a free heart valve clinic.
This clinic was for anyone who is 65 years and older with no known heart disease or stroke. Those who participated received a mini ultrasound of the heart to check the valves, and a cardiovascular risk assessment including a finger poke to check for cholesterol and diabetes. Results and recommendations were shared at the end of each visit.

Decoration Day Service 2025
The annual Decoration Day Service was held
Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
The featured family was the William Scott family. Music was provided by Paul Milotte. Refreshments and fellowship were enjoyed after the service.

- Build resilience in every camper.
Campers and leaders had fun playing games, making crafts, singing songs, and learning life skills. Campers hosted a tea on the last day of camp for family and friends and the community at large. They created posters, thank you cards and centre pieces, prepared food, set and decorated tables and served 20 - 25 guests. Guests appreciated a wonderful menu of scones, brownies, rice crispy squares and tea sandwiches.

On Friday, September 5, 2025, we did the cooking for you. We served fish and fries from Mundell’s Surf and Turf, corn on the cob from Hudson Farms and homemade pie.
As always, the food was scrumptious.
