The Fourth Sunday
At St. Andrew’s we do something special on the fourth Sunday of every month. It might be a music Sunday or a guest speaker. In 2019, Marilyn Snedden took us back to yesteryear in the Blakeney churches, Dan Mason gave us a tour of India, Tom Affleck asked us, “What is Church?”, and we welcomed Rev. Debbie Roi in a warm, wonderful homecoming on our anniversary.

Turkey Shepherd’s Pies in the Works
February and March 2019
The Special Events Committee ladies worked hard in February and March to make
Turkey Shepherd’s Pies just for you.
They made 32 family size pies and 101 single serving pies.
That’s a lot of turkey shepherd pies!
It took over 10 turkeys, 100 pounds of potatoes, trays and trays of peas, carrots and onions and gallons of scrumptious gravy – all made lovingly by the great cooks at St. Andrew’s.
Here they are slaving away so you don’t have to.

Just after the New Year we looked asked you to volunteer to help with the work of the church in 2019 and beyond.
We each bring something unique to the table and there is a place at St. Andrew's for your particular talents, skills and experience.
What is it you like to do? Whatever it is you can do it at St. Andrew’s and make a positive difference in our community.
Please check out the descriptions of committees and positions on the About Us page of this site. We asked that people contact the chairs of any committees that might be of interest to them.

Food Bank Challenge
April 28, 2019
Our donations to the Food Bank had dropped off.
To get us all re-energized we had a challenge for you.
We planned to fill Cathy Lacroix's car with non-perishable items.
So, we asked you to challenge your family, your co-workers, your neighbours to help.
Everything non-perishable was welcome. We asked for toilet paper, instant coffee, baby wipes, Pablum, diapers, pet food, canned beans and meats, toiletries...
Our thanks to the people of St Andrew's and Zion and their family, friends, neighbours and coworkers.
Thanks to your generosity we delivered 415 lbs. of food, baby products and toiletries to The Lanark County Food Bank Hunger Stop.
Manager Karin Nakamura, and staff were thrilled with our donation.
Thanks again to all for stepping up to complete this challenge.
And, special thanks to Zade Hakeem for planting the idea in Cathy's head.
You helped fill the Food Bank's pantry.

Featuring the lush vocals of Shann Bailey and the original songs of Timothy Trieste, from the group's adult contemporary album, the concert features a 5-piece band with some of Ottawa and Toronto's most accomplished musicians.
With styles ranging from singer-songwriter, to adult pop, to jazz, the concert aspires to also be a real stage show with a series of unique narrations which tie the songs together, featuring short stories written for the stage from Trieste's forthcoming book. The poetic songs and stories weave together the big themes of existence: love, loss, our purpose in nature and the greater universe, and the personal experiences we all share in making our way through life.

Attendees also experienced what science now tells us about how your mind perceives and your body reacts - which makes it so much more fun and effective.
This program had something for everyone and every ability.
The program helped people more fully enjoy the holiday season.
