Sunday School

The curriculum of St. Andrew's Sunday School follows the lectionary and is entitled "Seasons of the Spirit". The program focuses on the fact that we are all Jesus' disciples endeavouring to follow in his path and do God's work in our own way.

Teaching Our Children About God

Everyday scenarios that are relevant to children are discussed to discern how they deal with them in the light of God. The children gather around a table with a candle for a centrepiece. The candle represents the light of God in their lives. For each season of the church year the colours around the candle change but the candle remains constant – just as God’s love remains constant. This worship centrepiece is prepared by the children and regularly discussed as a central theme. These conversations are amazing, enlightening and educational – especially for the adults who are blessed to be able to see the world anew through the eyes of the children who believe that everything is new and exciting and awesome.

Offerings are received after learning about things like the church's Mission and Service Fund.

And of course there are blocks of time set aside for arts, crafts and learning games. It's a jam packed 40 minutes of very active conversation, activity and fun.
