We are matching donations up to $2,000.00!
Our Christmas outreach this year will again support the Hunger Stop. We are asking you to donate cash this year instead of non-perishable items. We are supporting a cash campaign because when we donate cash our food bank can purchase large quantities of food at wholesale prices that are much less than you and I pay for the same items at the grocery store. Cash also allows the purchase of fresh food which supports better nutrition for clients. And cash helps fill food rescue trucks with volunteers and gas so that they can pick up food from grocery and restaurant partners.
We are running the campaign during Advent. You can begin making your donations on Advent 1 which is Dec 3. The last day to donate will be Dec 17 which is our White Gift service.
The big news is that St. Andrew’s will match your donations up to $2,000.00.
